Galp and BMW Group open largest charging park on the Iberian Peninsula

Galp and BMW Group have opened the largest charging park on the Iberian Peninsula, located at the intu-Xanadú shopping centre in Madrid.

With 116 charging points (including 16 ultra-fast/180 kW and 100 semi-fast/22 kW), this infrastructure offers a total capacity of 3.6 MW, allowing multiple vehicles to charge simultaneously without the risk of overload.

This will give the more than 12.5 million annual visitors to intu Xanadú access to fast, sustainable and user-friendly charging services, further strengthening Galp’s commitment to electric mobility.

‘The Xanadú project demonstrates our commitment to the transition to increasingly sustainable mobility, and the shared ambition of partners who are each leaders in their own sector,’ said Joao Diogo Marques da Silva (Co-CEO of Galp).

With this project, Galp is further expanding its Iberian network, which currently has more than 8,500 charging points.
