About Ecotap
Ecotap is a Dutch manufacturer of robust charging solutions for electric transport. Once started as a total provider of charging infrastructure, we have now grown into a specialist in developing and producing smart charging stations for cars, buses and trucks. Since 2022, we have been part of Legrand as an independent brand.
Our mission is to make sustainable mobility accessible with reliable, circular charging solutions from Dutch soil. We believe in a future where charging always works – simple, safe and sustainable.
That is why we develop our products locally, with an eye for quality, reuse and longevity. This is how we contribute to a future-proof electric transport infrastructure.

Our circularity approach
At Ecotap, circularity is at the heart of everything we do. Our charging stations are produced locally with high-quality, recyclable materials and a modular design. This makes parts easy to replace and gives products a longer lifespan. Written-off hardware is reused or recycled responsibly. In this way, we reduce waste, save raw materials and reduce our ecological footprint.
Circularity is not an afterthought, but a conscious choice within our strategy. With this approach, we actively contribute to a sustainable future for both mobility and the planet.
CO₂ reduction in each charging station
Ecotap actively contributes to a more sustainable world. With more than 150,000 charging points installed worldwide, together we save millions of kilos of CO₂ every year. By producing locally, using recyclable materials and applying a modular design, we reduce our ecological footprint.
We also promote the use of green energy and support electric driving throughout Europe. Sustainability is not a promise at Ecotap, but a design principle and daily starting point.

2010
Launch of Ecotap with development of first e-bike charging points.
2013
Launch of the Homebox: Ecotap's first charging station for electric cars.
2013 - 2021
Expansion of the range to include various AC and DC charging stations for both public and semi-public use.
